Alex is the CEO & founder of Persado. Previously, Alex co-founded Upstream in 2001 and served as the company’s CEO between 2004 and 2012. During his tenure, the company grew to become a global leader in mobile marketing, with mobile operator clients in more than 40 countries. Alex was responsible for setting Upstream’s strategic direction and spearheading its international sales expansion and product innovation. Prior to founding Upstream, Alex worked as a management consultant at OC&C/McKenna Group, based out of Boston. He is the first angel investor for Luluvise, where he is also a board member, and serves on the board of advisors of Seyyer. Alex holds a BS in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University, and a Masters of Engineering in Operations Research from Cornell University.
Assaf is SVP of Operations and co-founder of Persado. Assaf is responsible for service delivery, including the implementation and integration of products and services for Persado customers. Prior to joining Persado, Assaf was VP of Product for Upstream, where Persado’s core technology originated. Assaf previously worked for speech and imaging solutions supplier Nuance Communications as a senior director of product strategy where he was responsible for developing on-demand and mobile solutions. Assaf joined Nuance from BeVocal, following its acquisition in 2007. Assaf holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco and a Masters in Social Psychology from the Sorbonne in Paris.
Matt is the Chief Financial Officer of Persado. He was previously CFO and Vice President of Sales Operations at Magnetic Media Online, a provider of digital advertising technology. Prior to Magnetic, Matt spent past six years in both finance and sales operations at AOL. While at AOL, Matt held numerous positions where he was charged with everything from analyzing sell-through rates and CPMs, to organizing sales expenditures and revenue. Before AOL, Matt worked as a business consultant at IBM in the government projects group. In his spare time, Matt continues to be involved in a 99-year-old family furniture business, and is a founding board member and advisory CFO to mobile ad provider Zettamobile. Novick received his MBA in finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business and his BA in economics from The George Washington University.
Guy is SVP of Product & Innovation and co-founder of Persado, where he oversees product management, algorithmic research, and software development for Persado. Guy previously was VP of Innovation for Upstream, where he led the incubation and implementation of the innovative mobile marketing campaigns for global mobile operator and brand clients. Guy’s has followed a diverse career path, which has seen him write and star in his own TV comedy series and host his own radio show. He was also previously a marketing manager for Wanadoo (France Telecom) in Paris, which became Orange. Guy holds a Masters in Social Psychology from the Sorbonne in Paris.
